My Journey
Shelley has worked in both Toronto and Montreal for large multi-national organizations. In her last executive role, Shelley led the HR function, in a global healthcare organization, to become a top employer of choice in Canada. Throughout her 30-year career, Shelley has gained valuable Human Resources experience in organization development, employee relations, training & development, and HR best practices. In 2007, Shelley started her own outsourced HR firm. Shelley successfully grew the firm to a team of 25 HR professionals and expanded the HR service offering until the practice was successfully sold/acquired in 2019.
She was granted the Human Resources Professional Association Fellow Award and was named as one of Canada’s Distinctive Women. As a highly sought after speaker, she shares her insights and experience with professional associations and corporations across the country.
Currently, she focuses on leadership development, coaching, and corporate speaking engagements. She is also finishing her book entitled “Moving Up Without Sucking Up”.
Shelley graduated from York University in Toronto with a B.A. in Psychology and completed the Advanced HR Management Program from the Rotman School of Management (University of Toronto) as well as the Wharton Business Leadership Program at the Wharton School of Business in Pennsylvania. She is also a professional coach with the Coaches Training Institute and achieved her Certified Human Resources Executive designation with the HR Professional Association of Canada.

She is a subject matter expert for the “WORKING” section of the Montreal Gazette, has appeared numerous times on Global News, has been a keynote speaker at the Distinctive Women National Conference, the Pharmaceutical Marketing Club of Quebec, the Human Resources Professional Association National Conference, the Women-Life-Empowerment Conference and many more.
